Divided I Stand

Two hearts, two lives in one Hardships in a life that's only just begun Happy, sad, mad at once Confusion rules my life. Impostor? No, foster. To love? Or not? I can't keep it straight, just live life day by day, Breath by breath, thought by thought, But is that any way to live? I plan for the future, I try my best, but I can't sort out the past. What happened? Why did everything have to change? Was it my fault? Am I to blame? I tell myself no, but is it a lie? Whatever the reason, the damage is done. Try to live my two lives and make them one. I'm happy

What's the Point?Some wild, outlandish answer comes straight out of the blue. You stare quizzically at me but I swear up and down it's true. Would you believe me more if I was older than I am? Or from the religion, same as yours-- should I just convert, then? It matters not the truth of my words for who would ever believe me? Only the ones who think the same way so then, what's the What's the Point?

Every Day is a Gift, Not a Given Right

Anyone else heard that song? I love it and it actually inspired me to see the miracle in every day, I mean we have absolutely no right to believe that a full and happy life is for some reason due to us...it could all be taken away at any moment. Therefore, I challenge everyone who reads this to do at least one worthwhile activity every day--whether that be writing a poem, making a sketch, volunteering for your community, taking a leap of faith towards a forsaken dream, or anything else. Come on! It's summer time! Get up off of your butt and do something!
